Listen To Howard Duff Declare His Contempt For The Miracles Of Jesus Christ
In this recording Howard Duff of Nemergut and Duff 217 Main St. Woodbridge, N.J. is conducting a cross examination. He is
trying to find out how a homeless man is miraculously able to purchase expensive court transcripts.
First you hear Mr. Duff ask, "Where did the money come from?"
I had long since stopped keeping track of God's endless miracles so I answered
honestly, that I didn't know.
Then Mr. Duff asked me if I read the bible and I answered yes.
Mr. Duff then asks me I was familiar with the book of Genesis and again I answered yes.
Mr. Duff Then asked me if I was familiar with the part were Moses had left Egypt and was wandering the desert.
I hesitated to answer because I didn't think that the Exodus was discussed in Genesis. So I said "I'll take your word for it"
Then I said that I get confused about which parts are which. It turns out Moses is not mentioned until the book of
Exodus, so my confusion was warranted
Next, Mr. Duff asks me if I remember how the Israelites were feed at that time.
I answered, "Manna or something?"
Mr. Duff answers, "Manna from Heaven! Food just came down for them. Is that how your bills get paid?"
I answered Back, "Don't all bills get paid that way?" I was trying to demonstrate the understanding that everything we have
comes from God. Then I asked Mr. Duff, "You mean you don't literally believe that Jesus feed 1000 or 3000 people?"
Mr. Duff now responds, "No I think that's ridiculous."
Then I repeated back, "You think that's ridiculous? I think..." Mr. Duff Cuts me off and returns the conversation away from
theology and back to his favorite subject, "Money".
At this point you may all be wondering if I really believe that Jesus was able to feed 3000 people with just a few loaves of bread. Well that question doesn't help you understand the source of my strength and courage. How about this question instead: How does your life change when you choose to believe that Jesus is the son of God, that he really can perform miracles, and that he loves us so much that he endured hell so that we wouldn't have to? Mr. Duff may never learn the answer to that question but I pray that he does.
Poor Mr. Duff. If he had actually read Exodus, he would understand how much he is like Pharaoh. His hart is hard and so he is truly blind to all the miracles that God is constantly showering upon him. He can't see that God loves each and everyone of
us and that no miracle is to great or too small for him if we will only ask.
In any case, the Good Lord, who is known to be very funny at times, was surely making an inside joke when he inspired Mr.
Duff to speak of Moses. Exodus is the story of how one man, armed only with faith, defeated an evil king and his entire
army. In Howard Duff's case, he has all the resources of Nemergut & Duff at his disposal and he is arguing before the
Honorable Kathryn A. Brock who will dance on a ball an bark at his command. Yet, in spite of all this, Mr. Duff is getting his ass kicked by a legless man. Why is this happening? Because Howard has no respect for the Lord and no comprehension of what's in the Bible. Howard dosn't understand that the Book of Exodus is God's step by step manual for defeating people like him.
James Chapter 4 Summarizes Howard's problem succinctly. From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust,
and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask,
and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
